International Museum Day Performance
 International Museum Day Performance

May 18 is celebrated as International Museum Day and draws attention to museums through various events around the world.

This year, our students performed at the Merinos Textile Industry Museum to celebrate International Museum Day. The performance titled "A Call to Humanity," organized for the International Museum Day on May 18th, is an eco-friendly action carried out by students from Uludağ University Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education. The purpose of this performance is to be the voice of nature and to convey this voice to people. Protecting nature, alongside safeguarding valuable objects, should be a primary responsibility and area of communication for museums. Through this action, students experienced being the voice of a solitary sapling in the future, calling out to humanity in nature's language to embrace and protect its benefits. Building a love for nature to pass on to future students will sustain itself in the intrinsic structure of this experience. This performance was realized under the coordination of Dr. Tuğba Gürkan Şenyavaş, Emek Yılmaz Sancar, and Serap Tuba Yurteser Yılmaz, as a joint production of the Uludağ University Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education, MFF TÜRKİYE, and the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Museum Branch Directorate.
