While the construction of Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ) Faculty of Dentistry Building continues within the Görükle Campus, constitution of a second preclinical teaching laboratory, which is in great need of the students, is being realised with the support of philanthropist İlkay Aydın, Chairman of the Board Council of PRESİMSAN.

The Faculty of Dentistry Building, which Bursa has been waiting for 25 years, will be completed in 2023. While the construction of the building progressed rapidly, it was a pleasing development for the students who had to go to Bursa Oral and Dental Health Teaching and Research Hospital for practice lessons. Presimsan Hydraulic Machinery, one of the important companies of the city, decided to support the establishment of a new laboratory in the Görükle Campus. The cooperation protocol prepared was signed by BUÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz and İlkay Aydın, Chairman of the Board Counsil of Presimsan Hidrolik Makina Kalıp Yedek Parça San. ve Tic. Inc.

SUPPORT WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN!

Welcoming the company executives in the office, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz noted that the construction of the Faculty continues without slowing down. Stating that they received support from Presimsan to meet the laboratory needs of the students in the Basic Sciences Program, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Saim Kılavuz; “We had some needs in terms of establishing and equipping a a preclinical teaching laboratory in the campus. Thanks to the company managers İlkay Aydın and İlker Aydın, they said that they wanted to support us in this matter. We thank them. God bless them. This support will make our academicians and especially our students very happy. Such support for education will never be forgotten and it will be remembered for many years. We wish you good luck," he said.

İlkay Aydın, Chairman of Board of Directors of Presimsan, emphasized that they are honored to support Bursa Uludağ University and Faculty of Dentistry. İlkay Aydın, who thanked everyone who made contact and mediated on this issue; “We are also happy to contribute to the construction of the new laboratory, which has an extremely valuable place in education. May it be beneficial to our university, faculty, academic community and students.”

IT WILL PROVIDE TIME AND EASE OF EDUCATION

The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Prof. Dr. Halil Sağlam also thanked İlkay and İlker Aydın for their contribution. Reminding that they continue their education and training activities at Bursa Oral and Dental Health Teaching and Research Hospital with a joint use protocol, Dean Prof. Dr. Halil Saglam; “Unfortunately, we do not have a preclinical laboratory in Görükle Campus where Preclinical Basic Sciences Education is being held. Our students need to go to the Oral and Dental Health Teaching and Research Hospital for laboratory work during the day, and then they have to come back here to Görükle campus again. This contribution, namely having a second preclinical teaching laboratory next to the Basic Sciences Building of our faculty, will both save time and facilitate training. We would like to thank Presimsan company managers for their support to our university.”

It is aimed to complete the new preclinical laboratory, the construction of which has just begun, in the area next to the Basic Sciences Building of the Faculty of Dentistry, and make it ready for the new spring semester curriculum.
