FOUNDATION TRADITION IS IN OUR GENETIC CODES
BUU Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz made a short speech at the opening and thanked everyone who contributed to the project. Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz said that they are very pleased to have hosted a special event and added: ‘There is a widespread belief that our civilisation is a foundation civilisation. But this is not just an experience that has happened in history. This tradition, which we call foundation, is an institutional structure that actually exists in our structure, in our genetic codes and in our future horizon. In the exhibition, we will see the signs of this journey from the beginning.’
WE WILL CONTRIBUTE TO GOOD PRACTICES
Bursa Foundations Regional Director Dr. Haluk Yıldız said: ‘With the great contributions of Hasan Basri Öcalan, the first symposium was held in Ankara on 3-4 October and the second symposium was held in Bursa. A nice symposium took place. We would like to thank our professor who contributed to us with his translations. Inshallah, our cooperation will continue from now on. We hope to carry out much more beautiful works together.’
ALL FOUNDATIONS IN ONE EXHIBITION
Prof. Dr. Hasan Basri Öcalan, Head of the Department of History, pointed out that they set out for the Foundation Tradition and Bursa Foundations Symposium 3 months ago and said; ‘Since we wanted to have a variety within the scope of the symposium, we decided to present the foundations we collected with a photo exhibition. After the symposium, we wanted to bring our exhibition to our students. In our exhibition, you will see foundations from the years of establishment of the Ottoman Empire, which are all original (except two), that is, the specifications of the foundation works. I would like to thank our esteemed governor, esteemed regional director of foundations, esteemed rector, all academicians, Birlik Foundation and our professors and students who are now participating in our exhibition.’
After the ribbon cutting, the guests examined the works in the exhibition.
The exhibition will be open to the appreciation of visitors until 27 December at BUU Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of History.
