Bursa Uludağ University (BUÜ), one of the leading universities in Turkey, will celebrate its 50th anniversary with many events.

Information about the activities to be carried out during the year was provided in the 50th anniversary event introduction program.

The 50th anniversary events to be carried out with the slogan 'Towards greater goals' were explained in the introduction program.

The program, attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Cafer Çiftçi, Prof. Dr. İrfan Kırıştıoğlu and Prof. Dr. Zekeriyya Arı, was attended by University Senate Members, deans, directors, academic and administrative staff, members of the press and hundreds of students.

As Mennan Pasinli Horsemanship Vocational School, we were very proud to support the 50th anniversary events of our university by participating with our academic and administrative staff, students and horses.

EVENTS WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR

The introductory meeting at the Mete Cengiz Cultural Center began with the State Conservatory Children's Choir singing the National Anthem.

Then, Vice Rector and 50th Year Events Coordinator Prof. Dr. Cafer Çiftçi took the stage.

Sharing information about the work carried out by the 50th Year Events Board and the projects prepared, Prof. Dr. Cafer Çiftçi said; 'We have established a qualified team in our university to manage these activities.'

In our work, we first created a logo, slogan, song, postage stamp, promotional products, event guide and event calendar special for the 50th Year.

Afterwards, we visited especially the brand companies of Bursa and asked them to be our stakeholders in academic, artistic and sports events.

He concluded his speech with the words, “May our 50th Year bring goodness to our university, our city and our country; to greater goals.”

HALF-CENTURY-OLD PLANE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE

After the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Video, BUÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz came to the stage.

Rector Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz, who began his speech by condemning the heinous terrorist attack in Ankara, wished mercy to the martyrs and a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Continuing his speech by summarizing the establishment process of the university, Prof. Dr. Ferudun Yılmaz said; “Our university is now 50 years old. We see our institution as a half-century-old plane tree of knowledge. We are among mature universities. We are talking about a position that contributes to Turkey's research capacity as well as its intellectual and artistic world. 50 years is both a sign of maturity and youth."
