1- To provide the students of the department with education in economics, statistics, econometrics and operations sciences that are needed according to the developing world and country conditions and to try to increase their gains in research and problem solving,

2- To train students with research and analysis skills in accordance with the changing needs of the public and private sectors and to help them in their employment,

3- To conduct scientific researches for the solution of economic and social problems at the city and country level and to present these researches to the public,

4- To train qualified students who can work in the private and public sectors in postgraduate education and scientists that the country needs,

5-To teach the skills and techniques to interpret the information produced by today's economic and social activities in a system with statistics, operations, econometric analysis methods,

6- To ensure that students become successful managers by giving information about the basic statistics, econometrics and operations research disciplines on process improvement, data evaluation and reporting that today's businesses need,

7- To teach analysis techniques and skills to analyze economic and social events correctly, to test and interpret economic theories together with basic economics and business education,

8- To ensure the dissemination of new methods and support learning through academic publications, training students and joint projects by interacting with the public and private sectors.
