Our university which is led by reason and science and aims to raise young people ho are modern, democratic, liberal, self responsible, respectful to the beliefs and values f the society, adopt cultural and historical values, and have an international vision, consists of 15 Faculties, 2 Schools, 15 Vocational Schools, 1 Conservatory, 4 Institutes, 27 Application and Research Centers, 1 Research Center and 5 departments established under the Rectorate.
       Bursa Faculty of Medicine, which was established in 1970 as a subordinate of İstanbul University, and Bursa Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, which was established in 1974, form the basis of the University.
 Our University, which was established with the name of "Bursa University" in Bursa with Law No. 1873 published in the Official Gazette dated April 11, 1975 and numbered 15205, was named "Uludağ University" with the Decree Law No. 41 on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions on July 20, 1982. However, the name of our university became "BURSA ULUDAĞ UNIVERSITY" with the "Law on the Amendment of the Higher Education Law and Some Laws and Decrees", which was published in the Official Gazette dated May 18, 2018 and numbered 30425.

       Faculty of Theology in Fethiye Campus, and School of Foreign Languages and Vocational School of Social Sciences serve in Ali Osman Sönmez Campus.
       The Faculty of Law, Gemlik Necati Kurtuluş School of Maritime, Gemlik Asım Kocabıyık Vocational School serve in Gemlik Sunğipek-Asım Kocabıyık Campus in Gemlik, and Faculty of Fine Arts serves in Mudanya.
Our schools, located in Mustafakemalpaşa, Karacabey, İnegöl, İznik, Yenişehir İbrahim Orhan, Orhangazi, Orhaneli, Keles, Harmancık and Büyükorhan districts continue their education and training activities in the districts where they are named after.
