QUALITY
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) defines quality as the totality of characteristics of a product or service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs; while the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) defines it as the sum of features that bear on the ability of a product or service to meet specified or potential needs.
ACCREDITATION
Accreditation refers to the evaluation and external quality assurance process conducted by an accreditation body to determine whether a higher education program meets pre-established, academic, and field-specific standards in a specific area. (EPDAD)
INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION
The Institutional Accreditation Program (KAP) is an external evaluation method that enables the assessment of quality assurance processes in higher education institutions, including education-teaching, research-development, societal contribution, and management system processes, within the scope of the "planning, implementation, monitoring, and corrective action" cycle.
