The quotas and entry requirements of the PhD Programme of the Department of Public Finance are determined by the proposal of the Department Board, the decision of the Board of the Institute of Social Sciences of Bursa Uludağ University and the approval of the Senate, as in other programmes. According to the current regulations, the quotas of doctoral programmes to be accepted by the institutes, the documents required for application and registration, examination and registration dates, and other issues are announced on the university's web page. Applications are made only electronically to the Institute of Social Sciences. The original documents or a copy approved by the Graduate School are accepted for final registration.

Prerequisites and process for application to the PhD Programme of the Department of Finance for the 2024-2025 Academic Year Autumn Term (It should be taken into consideration that the conditions and process may change):

1- To have a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics Department and Faculty of Law,

2- To have a master's degree with a thesis in the field of finance and to have a General Academic Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.80 out of 4

3- To have at least 55 points from ALES (Equal Weight),

4- To have at least 55 points from the prescribed Foreign Language Exams (Click here to review the announcement dated 20 June 2022).

Candidates whose applications are valid due to the preliminary evaluation made by B.U.Ü. Institute of Social Sciences is ranked by considering the ALES score and graduation grade point average (ALES 50% + GANO 50%), and a certain number of candidates are called for scientific evaluation exams.

If it is foreseen, candidates who take the Written Science Examination and the Interview Examination receive a grade out of 100 points from the scientific evaluation. As a result, candidates who take these exams are ranked according to their general success scores by adding 50% of ALES + 20% of GPA + 30% of Scientific Evaluation. Those with a score below 70 are considered unsuccessful. Starting from those with a score of 70 and above, starting from the highest score, as many candidates as the number of quotas are considered successful and are entitled to enter the PhD Programme in Public Finance.
