Our vocational school was established under Bursa Uludağ University with legal approval at the Higher Education General Assembly meeting on July 12, 1996, in accordance with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547, as amended by Law No. 2880. Education began in the 1998-1999 academic year with an intake of 30 students into the Animal Husbandry and Health Program.
On June 1, 1998, in response to a letter (No. 10910) from the Higher Education Council, the name of our institution was changed from Yenişehir Vocational School to Yenişehir İbrahim Orhan Vocational School, in line with Article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 as amended by Law No. 2880.
Our school operates in a three-story building with a total enclosed area of 3,071 square meters, built by Orhan Holding. It features 12 classrooms, 3 laboratories, and 3 practical training workshops. Additionally, in 2006, a four-story, 2,952 square meter dormitory with a capacity of 150 female students, known as the Hacı Halil Orhan Girls' Dormitory, was constructed by Orhan Holding and made available for our female students.
Currently, our school offers a total of 10 programs, including 9 daytime programs (Plant Protection, Child Development, Foreign Trade, Food Technology, Heating and Cooling, Laboratory and Veterinary Health, Machinery, Accounting and Tax Applications, Civil Aviation Management) and 1 evening program (Child Development). Educational activities continue with the support of 22 academic and 18 administrative staff members.
