ESTABLISHMENT AND HISTORY
The Department of Business Administration was formed in 1982 by merging three institutions under the Higher Education Law: the Business Faculty of the Bursa Academy of Economic and Commercial Sciences, established in 1970; the Business Administration Department of Bursa University's Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences, established in 1974; and the Business Administration Department of Balıkesir School of Tourism and Business, established in 1975. Over the years, the department has contributed to the employment market by offering undergraduate and graduate programs in business administration. With faculty members and assistants working across five different sub-departments, the department has long contributed to both the academic literature and the business world. As of 2022, it provides education to a total of 2,361 students, including 2,231 in the Business Administration program and 130 in the English Business Administration program.
